Project Management
Project Management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements. It entails managing a project from the Initiating through the Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling and Closing Processes. Process Improvement
‘An organization is only as good as its processes’ (Rummler 1996).
Improved processes lead to better efficiency in our organizations and has direct impact on our bottom-line, profits or customer service. As competition becomes more intense resulting in lower profit margins, business leaders agree that business process management is one sure way to reduce cost and improve the bottom-line. The quality of an organizations products and services has direct relationships to the processes leading to the product or service.
Process improvements introduce changes to our processes to help improve the quality of our service or product, reduce waste and cost, and step up schedule. Process Improvement efforts have been reported to reduce cost and schedule by as much as 90% while enhancing quality by over 60%. Aiming at continuous process improvement is reducing business risk. Business risk directly linked to poor processes could arise from any of the following:
⦁ Wasted efforts
⦁ Not collecting and managing requirements effectively
⦁ Relying on poor estimates
Our approach helps you identify and measure critical success factors in your processes to provide early warning indicators of potential issues and these approach suites organizations that are for-profit, nonprofit, government agency or any other going concern.
Six Sigma
Six Sigma is today’s most dynamic management approach for dramatically improving product and process quality and can be applied to every facet of business, from production, to human resources, to order entry, to technical support, to supply chain.
Six Sigma is a business process management methodology that seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects and minimizing variability in business processes.
The fundamental Six Sigma formula is Y=f(X), simply put, this equation means that your organization’s ability Y to deliver quality products and services to its customers and achieve a desired bottom line is a function of or directly related to the inputs X of your organizations processes.
Though originally developed for private sector industry, Six Sigma methodologies has been successfully implemented in Government processes to eliminate waste, improve processes and cut cost. As most Government agencies often work on very tight budgets, the implementation of Six Sigma will be very beneficial in achieving Government objectives.
Some of the acclaimed benefits of implementing Six Sigma include:
⦁ Money – Six Sigma focuses on eliminating inefficient processes that waste resources
⦁ Customer satisfaction – Six Sigma focuses on the Critical-to-quality (CTQ) expectations of your customers
⦁ Competitive advantage – Six Sigma allows you become more competitive as you have reduced your cost of doing business, meet the expectations of your customers and have earned a reputation for quality.
⦁ Across- the- board shift in company behavior.
The Six Sigma methodology uses statistical tools to identify the vital few factors, the factors that matter the most for improving the quality of processes and generating bottom-line results and consists of five phases DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control)
The Six Sigma approach utilizes a lot of data to achieve process improvements.
Lean Six Sigma Training And Certification Courses
All our Lean Six Sigma training and certification courses involve practical hands on use of Minitab 16 software.
The certification involves three stages
⦁ Classroom coursework. Participants get a Certificate of Course Achievement after completion of intensive coursework for Yellow, Green and Black Belt Body of Knowledge
⦁ Certificate of Competence. Participants are awarded a Certificate of Competence after successfully passing a Computer Based Test validating their competence.
⦁ Project Completion. Belts are awarded a final Certificate indicating that they are fully certified after completion of a project. The project will document the cost savings that have been achieved by the Belt utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Lean Six Sigma Black Belts demonstrate detailed understanding of Lean Six Sigma techniques and tools. They are also able to provide team leadership and mentoring for Six Sigma team members.
They are the experts responsible for leading DFSS (Design For Six Sigma) projects on a full time basis; have competence and expertise in implementing the DMAIC model in line with Six Sigma principles, have a basic knowledge of lean enterprise concepts, and they can quickly identify non-value-added activities.
Our Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training will help participants

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Lean Six Sigma Green Belts are specially trained team members who assist Black Belts and usually work within their functional areas. They work on projects part-time, but usually in a limited, specific area.
They are able to apply Six Sigma tools to examine and solve chronic problems on projects within their regular jobs and demonstrate enhanced problem skills using the DMAIC model.
The Green Belt has two primary tasks: first, to help successfully deploy Six Sigma techniques, and second, to lead small-scale improvement projects within their respective areas. Usually, Green Belts devote about 40% of their time to Lean Six Sigma projects
Our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training will help participants
⦁ Manage Projects using DMAIC
⦁ Understand Facilitation Techniques, Exploratory Data Analysis, and Hypothesis Testing
⦁ Understand Six Sigma tools
⦁ Understand Process Behaviour Charts and Measurement Systems
(This course also covers all the materials from the Yellow Belt course)
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification course gives an overview into the techniques of Six Sigma, its metrics, and basic improvement methodologies.
This course will help participants
⦁ Learn how to integrate Six Sigma methodologies for the improvement of production and transactional systems, in order to better meet customer expectations and bottom-line objectives of their organization.

Kaizen
Kaizen is the Japanese term for improvement or to make better.
This methodology which was implemented in Japanese businesses after the Second World War, but has since then spread all over the world has been used to tremendously improve processes in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and business management and has been applied to almost every industry such as banking, healthcare, government, entertainment, telecommunications, insurance, hospitality and life-coach and performance.
Kaizen is a continuous improvement methodology (modeled after continuous improvement expert – Dr. W. Edwards Deming who actually introduced the concept to Japanese companies after WW2) that focuses on achieving small or incremental improvements in our processes leading to compounded impacts on our results. Overall, Kaizen is more than just improving processes; it also aims to bring a human touch to our improvement efforts and eliminates excessively hard work.
Kaizen is the core of Lean Manufacturing that has had stunning impacts on Toyota manufacturing and several other organizations across many industries. By adopting the Kaizen approach to quality improvement, managers demonstrate a commitment to quality and employees are responsible by default to make the continuous small improvements that has compounded impacts on quality. This approach focuses on small changes and is usually data less.
Our Kaizen Management training program leads to expertise and certification as a Certified Kaizen Management Professional
This course will help participants
